Star Wars vs Startrek

This is so freakin moronic … only Star Wars fans can come up with something like that.

    1. That blast would destroy the Earth as well or at least devastate the entire SF bay area

    2. Enterprise sittin in the Bay ???? The Enterprise can’t enter the atmosphere let alone just hover like that – the only Starship that did something like that was the Voyager.

I gotta better idea. Pit the Death Star against the Borg and see how long that lasts.

Enterprise NC-1704-D (Captain Picard’s Enterprise) versus Star Destroyer=Enterprise wins. Or at least the Sovereign Class Enterprise could win. Federation is still cooler than the Galactic Empire. Period.

I’m a huge fan of both Star Trek and Star Wars, but, I’m sorry, I’ll bet on the Federation any day. They’ve fought off the Borg, they could fight off the Galactic Empire if the two ever met and went to war with each other.

I like both Star Wars and Star Trek, but I have to say that the Federation would get steamrolled by the Empire. Come to think of it, so would the Klingons, Cardassians, Dominion, and Borg, singly or all together. Something I don’t think most fans appreciate is the sheer size of the Empire’s fleet. 10,000 Imperator class Star Destroyers form the backbone of the fleet, and then you have untold numbers of support ships, command ships, and fighters. The Federation’s largest fleet mentioned was 300 ships, including fighters and shuttlecraft. The Borg control some of one quadrant, the Empire controls a galaxy. (Controlled, as political infighting ripped it apart after Palpatine died) Also, I kinda laugh at the thought that the Borg are invincible. They need time to adapt, and don’t seem to be able to adapt to truly high energy bursts or explosives. In light of the fact that observable firepower on Imperial Warships is considerably higher than that of the Federation and all known allies, (don’t bring the Q into this) the mighty (compared to other ST races) Borg would get wiped out relatively quickly. Other advantages the Empire enjoys: Massive industrial base, faster drive system (Hyperdrive vs Warp), merciless leadership, complete lack of morals, cloning, etc… In short, while I love the design of Federation ships, I really do, they are sleek and beautiful, the Empire kicks the Federation’s ass, hands down.

I think The star 3 is better, as I believe the Blizzard.

OOOOO Please the federation ship can fire at warp speed,
The Empire’s fleet are just sitting ducks.
Put all 10,000 empire ships in a line a watch the smoke.

The Enterprise (and other Federation vessels) can detect and destroy targets while traveling faster than the speed of light. No ships from the Star Wars Universe are capable of detecting or engaging ships that are traveling faster than the speed of light. Sounds like a one-sided battle to me.

If the Federation were to destroy the Death Star, they would first need to obtain the “technical read-outs” of the battlestation. The rebellion managed this feat over the course of several weeks. Involving a great majority of its military and intelligence resources. Different bits of data had to be obtained over the course of the operation and if one group failed, the rebllion would’ve never found a weakness.
The rebels were lucky. They managed to find the necessary information and exploited it, thanks to a force weilding Luke Skywalker.

In other words if Capt. Picard can’t use the force, how can the Enterprise destroy something the size of a moon….a moon that shoots back?

ok the enterprise-d what i meen is if we r talking about death star orbiting the plaint their only 1 way seaporat the saucer making it hard for them to target it wile the saucer firers on the shields generator & the star drive destroys the death star we win .

The federation will win. Because Lasers, the weapons on most empire ships are harmless on federation shields. Again phasers are superior weapons to lasers, lasers being obsolete for nearly 200 years in the federation. Please lets not get started on propulsion tech. I’m a fan of star wars and star Trek , but it wont be a fight, just one side pummeling the other.

Star Wars Turbolasers are not real lasers, they are plasma weapons.

If you want proof here is just 2 things off the top of my head:

    1. SW Lasers are clearly sub-light.

    2. You can not see a laser from the side in vacuum.

The fact is once the Empire has find the UFP’s planets Star Destroyers can appear out of Hyperspace without any warning and could knock out major targets from 10 light minutes before disappearing back into Hyperspace. Even if somehow Trek ships were more power than Wars ships (which they are not) it doesn’t matter when the Empire can simple slag your planets from orbit easily and take out your supply lines etc.etc.etc.

You know what I like the most? Instead of Federation vs Empire where Trek and Wars are fighting like cats and dogs, why don’t you reverse the SW timeline to the Clone Wars where the ST Federation joins the war against the Separatists. The Galactic Republic and the United Federation of Planets become allies. Then after the war, the Federation could leave the Republic and close whatever portal lead the Federation there to prevent any further incursion from the developing Galactic Empire.

P.S.: Could Red Matter destroy the Death Star?
