Olympus E-450, World’s Smallest DSLR Camera

Olympus has announced the E-450 Compact DSLR Digital Camera. The Olympus E-450 is the World’s Smallest Digital SLR with Art Filters. It is an upgraded version of the E-420 compact DSLR. The new E-450 is somewhat simillar to the E-420 but has been added with 3 Art Filters, a new processor and an improved LCD display. The  funcions of 3 art filters are Pop Art, Soft Focus and Pin Hole. 10 Megapixels, a 2.7″ screen, ISO 100 to 1600 and 3.5fps continuous shooting are some of its main features. The other main features that E-450 has more than the E-420 are TruePic III+ processor, Increased continuous shooting buffer (8 RAW files, rather than E-420’s 6) and Improved screen. It will start shipping in May and is priced at $700 which is $250 more than the E-420. The Key features of Olympus E-450 are:

  • Wireless flash control in up to 3 groups (separate press release available for Olympus FL-50R and FL-36R flash units)

  • AE/AF-lock functionality
  • ISO 100 to 1600 for wide-ranging sensitivity
  • Depth of field preview function
  • 49-segment digital ESP
  • Bracketing function (Exposure)
  • Detailed info screen with histogram
  • Based on Four Thirds Standard
  • Dual memory slot for CompactFlash and xD-Picture Card

The Olympus has been build keeping Amatuers in mind. It is a very easy-to-use DSLR camera. A range of Art Filters allows photographers to stretch the limits of their creativity, without complicated software or a computer. The dimensions of the Camera are 129.5 x 91 x 53 mm (5.1 x 3.6 x 2.1 in) which makes it the smallest DSLR Camera.(Link)
